Overview

The Automated Test Engineering Manager will directly manage the ISACA Automated Test Engineers and Quality Assurance Engineers while continuously seeking to expand knowledge and increase maturity of applications and systems being developed to create efficiencies and/or mitigate risk via people/process/technology changes for the business.  

 

The Automated Test Engineering Manager will configure and manage the staging server environments, expand, and maintain the QA automation framework, and create new automated tests to expand code coverage. They will test for system upgrades, performance tuning, patching, new implementations, program changes, new functionality as well as full platform, and system regression testing 

Responsibilities

  • Developing and executing projects and release test plans, testing cases, and influencing decisions on best testing approaches and test automation strategies  
  • Work with development team to drive defects and design changes from inception to resolution 
  • Gather quality metrics and report out on a pre-defined basis 
  • Contribute procedures, tools, and practices to optimize team productivity 
  • Performs retesting and regression testing 
  • Documents test results for incorporation into the Requirements Traceability and Verification Matrix 
  • Provides support to Client testers during acceptance testing, including test script walkthroughs, document testing issues and test results, and answering questions on system functionality 
  • Participate in code and design reviews 
  • Provides system support as business needs require 

Qualifications

Required Field of Study: 

  • Associates Degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, MIS, or IT related from an accredited institution  

Minimum Years of Experience Required:  

  • 5+ years 

Description of Minimum Experience Required: 

  • Developing Software as a Service (SaaS) applications and understanding the impact of this architecture in a deployment environment 
  • Designing, developing, and shipping v1 applications 
  • Best Agile Scrum SDLC practices: coding standards, reviews, code management, build processes, and testing 
  • Knowledge of Git for source control purposes 
  • Knowledge of Azure 
  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps CI\CD 
  • Jira experience including test case management with addons like Xray or Zephyr 
  • Experience or knowledge of BDD Testing 
  • Automated software quality assurance tools (i.e., Selenium Webdriver, Cypress.io, Cucumber, Frisby.js, Postman) 

Preferred Field of Study: 

  • BS Degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, MIS, or IT related from an accredited institution 

Preferred Years of Experience: 

  • 7+ years  

Description of Preferred Experience:  

  • Previous experience/knowledge within the Information and Cyber Security community 
  • Azure Cloud 
  • Azure DevOps CI\CD 
  • Working with a combined in house and outsourced team 
  • Working in a geographically separated team
