Overview

In the Sr Product Manger role, you will drive the development, promotion, and adoption of products through a comprehensive focus on the 4 Ps of marketing—product, pricing, promotion, and placement. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and engineering to optimize our product offerings and ensure they reach the right market segments with competitive pricing and targeted promotional strategies. The ideal candidate has experience in an agile environment with a startup mentality (creative, scrappy, wearing multiple hats, willing to step up and help out on typical day-to-day work to strategic items) and can bring a customer-focused approach to product management, especially in the CMMI space. 

Responsibilities

  • Product Development & Strategy: Support the development of product strategies and roadmaps that align with customer needs and market trends. Work with senior product leadership to translate high-level vision into actionable plans. 

  • Product Placement & Market Fit: Define customer segments and identify the most effective distribution channels. Work closely with marketing and sales to drive product awareness and maximize reach. 

  • Pricing Strategy: Collaborate with product leadership to support competitive pricing strategies, balancing customer value with business objectives. 

  • Promotion & Go-To-Market (GTM) Strategy: Partner with sales and marketing to define promotional activities and go-to-market strategies that resonate with target customers and drive adoption. 

  • Sales Support & Enablement: Develop product collateral, training materials, and tools that help sales teams communicate product value. Act as a product ambassador in supporting sales efforts and customer engagements. 

  • Market Research & Customer Insights: Conduct market research to gather insights on customer needs, industry trends, and competitor activity. Use these insights to inform product positioning and identify opportunities. 

  • Roadmap & Product Lifecycle: Work with senior product leaders to manage product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with market demands and business priorities. 

  • Performance Tracking & Optimization: Define and monitor key performance metrics to track product success and identify areas for improvement. Utilize data to make informed adjustments to improve customer satisfaction and market impact. 

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering, design, and marketing teams to ensure smooth product development, launch, and post-launch activities. 

  • CMMI Market Development: Contribute to developing and implementing strategies to drive adoption in the CMMI market, including partnership development and customer engagement. 

  • Other Duties:
    • Handle strategic planning to hands on exectution work. 
    • Continuously increase personal domain expertise and knowledge. 
    • Assist with other tasks as required. 
    • Participate in the ongoing development of a positive work culture based on the values of ISACA. 

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

  • 3+ years in digital product management, digitla marketing or stakeholder management
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, marketing, business or related field.

 

Required skills:

  • Strong analytical and planning skills. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including detailed document preparation and review.  
  • Ability to successfully complete multiple tasks under pressure of simultaneous deadlines. 
  • Ability to work well with internal and external stakeholders of all levels. 
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite, and ability to learn technology systems with relative ease. 
  • Strong detail orientation. 

 

Certification and Licensing requirements: 

  • One or more of the following certifications:
    • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) 
    • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) 
    • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) 
    • Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) 
    • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) 
    • CMMI Associate or CMMI Lead Appraiser certification. 
  • Willingness to attain CMMI Professional certification within 9-12 months of starting the role; Attend and pass CMMI Lead Appraiser Training and CMMI Instructor courses 

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of experience in product management, with prior exposure to product marketing, pricing, or sales enablement. Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment is a plus.
  • MBA, MSIT, or masters degree in a related field. 
  • CMMI, Six Sigma, Lean or similar process and quality improvement certifications 
  • Market Insight & Analytical Skills: Ability to conduct and interpret market research, competitive analysis, and customer feedback to inform product decisions. 
  • Technical Acumen: Familiarity with technical products, and ability to collaborate effectively. 
  • Sales & Marketing Collaboration: Experience partnering with sales and marketing teams to create product messaging, positioning, and enablement tools. 
  • Data-Driven: Experience tracking KPIs and using data insights to optimize product performance. 
  • Adaptable & Growth-Oriented: A startup mentality, with a comfort level operating in dynamic and evolving environments where experience working on lower to higher level of work in the same day can be common. 
  • CMMI Familiarity: Knowledge of or exposure to CMMI frameworks is a plus. 
  • Organizing complex sets of information  
  • Working with government agencies 
  • International experience

 

Domestic and International travel up to 20% required
