The Manager, Legal Contracts is responsible for developing and maintaining processes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of ISACA's contract management operations. This role works closely with internal stakeholders, including business units, cybersecurity, procurement and risk management teams, as well as external legal counsel, to streamline contract processes and drive operational improvements. The Manager, Legal Contracts will contribute to the organization's growth objectives by ensuring legal compliance while optimizing resources in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Negotiate Routine Contracts
• Draft and/or review, negotiate, and document standard contract terms to ensure compliance with company templates, policies, and regulations.
• Identify and mitigate potential legal risks within contractual agreements.
• Providing legal guidance on contract interpretation and obligations, as well as contract-related disputes.
• Simplify complex contract language for internal clients, facilitating their understanding and alignment.
Policies and Contract Templates
• Develop, document, and maintain contract-related processes, including policies, playbooks, workflows, and lifecycle management systems.
• Identify and implement tools, technologies, and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in contract management.
Contract Self-Service Workflows
• Lead the development and ongoing improvement of user-friendly, self-service contract workflows for standard agreements.
• Monitor contract progress, draft review summaries, and facilitate the approval process.
• Evaluate complex contract requests with external counsel and determine the appropriate course of action.
• Provide training for internal clients on navigating contract workflows and legal procedures.
Performance Measurement and Process Optimization
• Collaborate closely with procurement and business teams to establish measurable goals for contract management efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
• Develop and maintain metrics, dashboards, and reporting tools that provide real-time insights into contract performance, including turnaround times, compliance rates, and resource utilization.
• Continuously assess and refine contract management processes, using data-driven analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and track the impact of implemented changes.
• Implement feedback loops with business stakeholders to evaluate the success of process improvements, ensuring that changes enhance collaboration, transparency, and overall value delivered to the organization.
People Management
• Manage a Contracts Specialist, providing coaching and guidance to support their success in the role and professional skill development.
• Foster a collaborative and growth-oriented environment, encouraging continuous learning and performance excellence.
Other
• Other duties as may be assigned by the Chief Operating Officer
• Manage and update legal content on the internal company intranet.
REQUIRED FIELD OF STUDY:
• JD from an accredited university
MINIMUM YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• 5+ years
DESCRIPTION OF MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Proven work experience as a legal, contract manager, or other relevant role in a large corporate organization
• Licensed attorney

DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
• Experience using and managing technology utilized by in-house legal or contract management departments, including legal billing software, document management software, and contract lifecycle management software
• Experience analyzing and mitigating risk for the business during contract negotiations
