Overview

ISACA seeks highly motivated candidate to represent ISACA to academic institutions, government and non-for-profit/for-profit workforce development programs with an emphasis on the education market and having the objective of enhancing the understanding of and building support for ISACA. The primary goal of this role is to establish a contracted partnership with the identified market segments above to provide education access in the form of ISACA credentials and certifications to the partners employees, students, and learners of all levels. This position is under the direction of the Sr. Director of Academic Partnerships at ISACA but works closely and is responsible for stakeholder relations with many other departments. The ideal candidate will possess a business development or partnership management background with a solid understanding of the sales and marketing process needed to prospect, negotiate, and close.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes business strategies to engage academic partners, workforce development organizations, and not-for-profit employers that aid in the recruitment of qualified student applicants to ISACA credentials and certifications and further advances the ISACA’S role and reputation.
  • Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with academic and community partners and communicates effectively and regularly with key ISACA stakeholders about partner opportunities, feedback, and competitive analyses.
  • Identifies opportunities for and facilitates the involvement of ISACA stakeholders, leadership or academic units in recruitment efforts and/or partner cultivation.
  • Demonstrates the ability to utilize sales force customer management system and manage opportunities through the business development process to maintain accurate forecasts and pipeline. Represents ISACA leadership and/or program(s) on ISACA committees, corporate advisory boards, or community boards when necessary.
  • Develop metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of workforce development initiatives and prepare and present reports on program impact and ROI to senior leadership.

Qualifications


Required Field of Study:

  • 4-year degree from an accredited college/university

Minimum Years of Experience Required:

  • 3

Description of Minimum Experience Required:

  • Prior sales or business development experience in the SaaS, education content, publishing and/or technology.
  • Experience with effective business development, marketing methods and sales techniques.
  • Knowledge of ISACA and/or credentials and certifications programs
  • Knowledge of higher education, workforce development, and/or non-for-profit organizations.
  • Knowledge of current issues and trends in higher education and their respective processes.

Preferred Field of Study:

  • Marketing, Sales, Finance, Education.

Preferred Years of Experience:

  • 5+

Description of Preferred Experience:

  • Prior sales or business development experience in the SaaS, education content, publishing and/or technology.

Required Skills:

  • Track record of establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships.
  • Ability to think strategically, build strategic plans, and track and measure results. 
  • Skill in conducting market research and competitive analysis.
  • Able to exercise discretion and sound judgment.
  • Strong verbal and written communications; able to persuasively present to audiences of varying sizes as well as in one-on-one settings.
  • Skill in conflict resolution and problem-solving.

Up to 40% travel required. Valid passport and international travel occasionally required.
