Overview

Responsible for editorial duties related to ISACA’s item and exam development programs. Assists with training new item writers and conducting item writing campaigns. Tracks and reports on item development metrics. Supports departmental quality assurance (QA)/proofreading activities and ad hoc item development and review projects. 

Responsibilities

  • Review newly submitted exam items for compliance with item development guidelines and communicate results to item writers. 
  • Serve as scribe and assist with all administrative duties during workshops and Exam Item Development working group meetings. 
  • Create, maintain, and monitor item writing drives in the online item writing tool and serve as a point of contact for item writer support. This includes running reports and creating and maintaining spreadsheets to track performance metrics. 
  • Develop and proof master files and back up files for item writing workshops and working group meetings and ensure reconciliation with items submitted. 
  • Conduct fatal flaw of items both pre- and post- meetings to ensure changes made during EIDWG meetings are accurately recorded. Upon notification of successful migration of items, conduct QA review of migrated items.  
  • Track and process item writer applications. 

Qualifications

Required Field of Study:  

  • Non-profit management, communications, general business 

Minimum Years of Experience Required:  

  • 3+ Years 

Description of Minimum Experience Required: 

  • Certification/credentialing experience to include item and exam development 

Preferred Field of Study:  

  • Non-profit management, communications, general business 

Preferred Years of Experience:  

  • 5+ Years 

Description of Preferred Experience:  

  • Editorial or Project Management 
  • Professional Association/volunteer engagement 
  • Non-profit 
  • Multilingual  
  • Cultural sensitivity
