Overview

The VP of Learning Solutions will work with the Chief Content & Publishing Officer and other stakeholders to develop learning strategies and cultivate innovation, while maximizing efficiency by acting as a leader with vision on ground-breaking, scalable, and relevant learning industry trends centered on learning impact and global accessibility. The VP has a well-developed Learning “point of view” that they can articulate and apply to ensure the development of best-in-class global learning solutions that support ISACA’s strategic objectives. This includes working with content experts, product managers, members, chapter leaders, instructional designers and developers on learning analysis, design, and delivery to create effective and innovative learning solutions and programs that accomplish the desired business outcomes.

  • Partnerships and market expansion (e.g., academic, enterprise, associations, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Lead team of instructional designers and developers to create high quality, relevant learning solutions. Develop strategy to ensure learning methods (e.g., credentialing, performance-based learning, gamification, simulation, blended learning, social learning, video) and emerging learning trends are incorporated in new product design to create personalized learning experiences.
  • Identify strategy for ISACA learning experience platform. Lead and direct the delivery of learning solutions through the identification and implementation of an innovative learning experience platform. Manage Learning Management System (LMS) and Learning Record Store (RS) on a daily basis and serve as primary point of contact for vendors.
  • Conduct periodic review of platform performance and propose and implement enhancements
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy that maximizes internal capabilities and strengthens external partnerships to deliver best-in-class learning solutions. Ensure all programs are aligned with organizational competencies, curriculum frameworks, and defined learning objectives.
  • Drive change in the type of learning solutions created and the delivery modalities (any device) utilized to meet the needs of all target markets. Research, review and analyze industry data on learning technology strategies and trends.
  • Lead discussions with portfolio/product managers and instructional designers to determine revenue and cost projections for designing new learning solutions.
  • Lead discussion and implementation of emerging learning theories, innovation, science and technology in the design of ISACA learning solutions. Drive concept testing to validate learning for various audiences and identify career and learning pathways.
  • Work collaboratively with the VP Product and SVP Enterprise Sales to engage ISACA chapters, organizations and associations to jointly create new learning solutions and expand ISACA’s global reach.
  • Analyze learning research and key program metrics to inform learning effectives and solution modification needs. Evaluate existing programs for impact and alignment with learning pathways. Provide recommendations for product improvements that increase reach, impact, and future capability requirements.

Qualifications

Required Level of Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline from an accredited university, such as Instructional Design or Educational Technology.

Minimum Years of Experience Required:

  • 10 years

Minimum Relevant Experience Required:

  • 10+ years’ of forward-thinking, global experience in learning and the learning business with a broad focus to include in-person training, online learning, virtual training and events in complex, dynamic environment, as an integrated business partner, setting strategic direction and delivering practical learning business solutions.
  • 8+ years’ demonstrated lead management experience, with direct accountability for program deliverables, program revenue and expenses, and in overseeing the work of others (e.g., staff resources or external vendors).

Preferred Level of Education:

  • Master's degree in a relevant discipline

Competencies/Skills Required:

  • Strong business insight, with the ability to credibly make a business case, by aligning current and anticipated business challenges with learning and development solutions.
  • Experience creating and driving learning and organizational development initiatives by applying adult learning methodology, with emphasis on linking learning needs to competency, curriculum and course objectives.
  • Ability to develop and translate strategic goals into appropriate development of solutions that balance the evolving priorities of the organization in a way that is forward thinking with an ability to set direction and motivate team on what is possible.
  • Demonstrated experience in adult learning theory and practice methodologies and evaluation practices.
  • Excellent social, communication and presentation skills. Solid influencing, negotiation and facilitation skills to champion and maintain collaborative relationships with content subject matter experts, members, chapter leaders, volunteers, leadership and other key partners.
  • Excellent coaching and mentoring skills. Experience in group facilitation and team coaching with a track record of improving overall performance.
  • Experience in effectively leading cross-functional teams.

15-20% travel may be required. Valid passport for international required.
