Overview

The Translation Specialist assists the ISACA Senior Translation Manager managing the ISACA’s translations program. Duties include executing translation agreements and ensuring the timely, accurate and on-budget delivery of ISACA and CMMI translation projects. Those projects may include, ISACA Journal articles, research publications, certification review materials, certification exams, certification exam support materials (registration forms, candidate guides, CPE policies), PowerPoint presentations, marketing pieces and web site content.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the translation process, from inception to delivery, and ensure alignment with the overall content strategy. Ensure process is as efficient as possible and that high-quality translations are delivered on time, up to date and within budget.
  • Review translations and make any necessary formatting changes to align them with the original English documents.
  • Work with the current CMS to export and import translation packages as necessary.
  • Work with volunteers/members; understand their time constraints while maximizing productivity, ensuring efficiency and timeliness in translation delivery.
  • Ongoing relationships with translation vendors. Prepare requests for quotations (RFQs) and agreements with translation vendors.
  • Maintain content for the translation area(s) on the ISACA web site, working with the Web Content Manager.
  • Provide status reports, as well as administrative and accounting aspects of translation program, to the Translation Manager.

Qualifications

Required Field of Study:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Localization or related degree from an accredited university or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.

Minimum Years of Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role or capacity, with a demonstrated record of success.

Description of Minimum Experience Required:

  • Translation program management involving multiple languages and simultaneous projects

Preferred Field of Study:

  • Master’s Degree in Translation or related degree from an accredited university, or equivalent advanced training in translation or related project management

Preferred Years of Experience:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a similar role or capacity, with a demonstrated record of success.

  • Software and tools, including Vasont Transperfect, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro, Single-Source Content Management Systems, Proficiency in Microsoft Windows suite of products, understanding of DITA XML content models is preferred
  • High level of integrity in dealing with confidential and sensitive information
  • Must be able to work independently

Occasional travel may be required for this role, particularly to attend company-sponsored events such as all-hands meetings and team offsites.

USD $63,777.00 - USD $95,717.00 /Yr.
