Overview

The Sr. Manager, Learning is responsible for managing and owning the product lifecycle for multiple online and digital products, including the design and development of performance-based training. This position leads the development team in designing, developing, testing, and deploying products in the learning platform and instructor (in person and virtual) led training programs. The Sr. Manager, Learning ensures ISACA’s learning products are designed, developed, and delivered on time and in budget.  

Responsibilities

  • Create and update all new and current learning products, including performance-based training (labs) from product ideation through product launch.
  • Manage and develop learning products for delivery across multiple platforms, effectively utilizing course-authoring software, features on the learning experience platform and emerging educational technologies.
  • Lead the design team to ensure all materials utilize adult learning theories for both instructor-led and self-paced deliverables. 
  • Analyze and select the most appropriate strategies, methodologies, and technologies to maximize the learning experience and impact.
  • Partner with Product Management to analyze learner feedback, gather competitive analysis, and understand learner needs in support of product ideation and product improvement efforts.
  • Research and support new opportunities for online and hybrid learning.
  • Establish and conduct regularly scheduled reviews of existing learning products and ensure appropriate product maintenance, improvements and enhancements are implemented.
  • Manage vendor and partner relationships for learning and development solutions. Identify and vet new development vendors and subject matter experts.
  • Lead cross functional team to optimize learner experience on ISACA learning platforms and in-person learning and to continually evolve learning design and development processes.
  • Work with ISACA’s Project Management Office (PMO) team to ensure key dates and deliverables are met.
  • Review all online/digital materials for accuracy, grammar, and branding.
  • Hires, trains, develops, and evaluates direct reports ensuring staff maintain and have opportunity to develop knowledge and skills necessary to drive ISACA’s success as well as their own.

Qualifications

Required Field of Study:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Training & Development or related field from an accredited university or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.

Minimum Years of Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 9 years of relevant experience in a similar role or capacity, with a demonstrated record of success.

Description of Minimum Experience Required:

  • Instructional Design for instructor led, virtual instructor led and online (self-paced) courses
  • Education and development of education materials
  • Learning Management Systems (LMS), Learning Experience Platforms.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in terms of upward and lateral stakeholder management, with a proactive, problem-solving, and solution-focused approach that continues to develop positive relationships across boundaries to align solutions.
  • Highly proficient in Captivate & Articulate Storyline (or equivalent)

Preferred Field of Study:

  • Master’s degree in related discipline: Learning and Development, Instructional Design, Organizational Psychology, Adult Education, etc from an accredited university.

Preferred Years of Experience:

  • 11+ years of relevant experience in a similar role or capacity, with a demonstrated record of success.

Description of Preferred Experience:

  • Web service integration, User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) best practices and responsive design.
  • International
  • Worked in or developed products for IT Security, Cybersecurity, Audit, Governance or Risk professionals
  • Professional Association/volunteer engagement

Competencies/Skills Required:

  • Computer literacy in word processing, spreadsheets, project management and presentation software required.
  • Ability to translate complicated technical verbiage and implement user needs and have a strong appreciation of the importance of the user experience to enhance product portfolio.
  • Displays and demonstrates the spirit of collaboration and cooperation.
  • Experience in change management and continuous improvement, designing scalable solutions and implementing quickly.
  • Experience in instructional design principles and have created, edited and administered training content and programs.

Occasional travel may be required to attend company-sponsored events, meetings, or all-hands gatherings.

Posted Salary Range

USD $109,138.00 - USD $163,759.00 /Yr.
